Gogolook Joins the Global Signal Exchange (GSE) to Strengthen Cross-Border Scam Detection

TrustTech company Gogolook has officially joined the Global Signal Exchange (GSE).

The Global Signal Exchange (GSE) is the world’s first clearing house for threat signals. Founded in 2024 by the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA) Oxford Information Labs (OXIL), and Google, the GSE enables member organisations to jointly harness the imperatives of speed, scale and data-sharing to beat the scammers at their own game. With more than 170 million threat signals being monitored in real-time through GSE’s technical platform, the Global Signal Exchange represents a significant development in putting a spotlight on where online scams are happening in real-time – and making possible the multi-directional sharing of threat signals on a multi-region, multi-stakeholder and multi-sector basis across the Internet ecosystem. The GSE aims to help stop malicious activities faster, making them less effective and less profitable.

According to the GASA 2024 Global State of Scams Report, nearly half of the global population encounters scams on a weekly basis, with annual losses amounting to as much as USD 1 trillion. Amid growing geopolitical instability, the surge in uncertainty has fueled a dramatic increase in scam activities — with generative AI techniques being widely adopted for scam attacks. The UNODC’s 2025 Inflection Point report also identifies Southeast Asia as a hub for industrial-scale scam centers, urging cross-border data sharing to combat transnational scam. Gogolook’s participation in GSE echoes this call, advancing a global framework for trustworthy, real-time scam signal exchange.

Through this collaboration, Gogolook will leverage its proprietary, first-hand scam intelligence database to enable systematic data sharing with international GSE partners, including Google. This initiative empowers platform members to better track the latest scam trends and evolutions, aiding in the training of AI models and advancing the goal of effective scam blocking.

Manwoo Joo, Chief Operating Officer of Gogolook, stated:

"Scams have become a global threat that no government, business, or NGO can tackle alone. The GSE was created to break barriers across platforms, regions, languages, and borders. With Gogolook’s unique ability to collect first-hand scam data — blocking over 500 million scam attempts annually — we are well-positioned to help our partners and clients build stronger scam defense systems and enhance their risk management and competitiveness through this global alliance."

Emily Taylor, co-founder of the GSE comments:“We warmly welcome Gogolook to the Global Signal Exchange and their support in helping us all to change the narrative on crime, fraud and abuse. The level of global support for the Global Signal Exchange signifies a step-change in the fight against scams and fraud, as we facilitate a new culture of co-operation and data sharing. Scammers work together, they share and they move quickly. The Global Signal Exchange marks a new chapter in the collective fight-back against online crime.”
